We're excited to announce Bars of Britain - Season 2, a series of one night takeovers from award-winning British bars this September - Ojo Rojo, SCHOFIELD’S BAR, KiKi Lounge and The Gate.

Following on from the success of our inaugural series last year, which championed brilliant bars outside of London, four more will make their way to the capital from 24th September for a week of pop ups. On Saturday 28th, in honour of the hotel’s 20th anniversary, members of our bar team from over the years will join us for a closing celebration.

Each bar will take over Refuel at The Soho Hotel for one night only to serve up their signatures.

Ojo Rojo - 24th September

Kicking off the week is Ojo Rojo, the South Coast's leading Mezcal and Tequila bar. Beginning as a street food brand in Mexico and now located in the heart of Bournemouth, Ojo Rojo has made it into the UK’s Top50 cocktail bars list for the last three years. Expect a modern cocktail menu that explores the diversity of agave spirits.

Schofield's BAr - 25th September

SCHOFIELD’S BAR, by brothers Joe and Daniel, graces the corner of the art deco Sunlight House in Manchester, one of the most iconic buildings in the north of England once completed in the 1930s. The bar, currently ranked number one on the Top 50 Cocktail Bars list, harks back to this era of grand and luxurious bars known for their hospitality and classic cocktails.

Kiki LOUNGE - 26th September 

KiKi Lounge is a tropical bar on the not-so-tropical Isle of Man. Owners Jamie Lewis and Drew Fleming (the inaugural winner of the 50 Best The Blend scholarship from The World’s 50 Best Bars) have worked to create a hideaway for locals and visitors alike. Located on Douglas’ North Quay, Kiki's is modelled on the quintessential beach bar, with an ambitious menu marrying tropical tradition with contemporary technique.

THe Gate - 27th September

Our final guest bar will be The Gate. A hidden gem in Glasgow, this modern Scottish spot embodies a strong sense of community and a commitment to serving expertly crafted, delicious drinks in a classic pub setting. Founded by Andy Gemmell in 2019, who has a deep passion for whisky, cocktails, and Scottish produce, The Gate is dedicated to delivering the finest Scottish hospitality.

Refuel Reunion - 28th September

To close the series, join us in celebrating 20 years of The Soho Hotel. We'll be welcoming back ex-Bar Managers Zoran Peric, who opened the bar in September 2004, and Chris Amey who joined in 2007. Expect much-loved signatures from their time heading up the Refuel bar including the watermelon Refuel Martini, and the Soho Sensation (Aluna coconut rum, Crème de pêche, peach and elderflower).
